I've stayed in Koblenz for several years, as I go to the Nurburgring on a yearly basis, I always stay in the city. This year, I decided to book Hotel & Weinhaus Zum Schwarzen Baren based on its good reviews and it did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and quiet, and the breakfast was delicious. I loved the beautiful garden outside my window where I could enjoy my meals. The hotel has character and is completely modern, with nice little touches like real flowers and free parking. The location, just one block from the river, was perfect for biking and walking. I will definitely be back next year!

location: the hotel was so close to the mosel, the old town and the banks of the rhein and restaurant and very good breakfast. and it's just a pleasant stroll away from il capitano, ate there once or twice.

I really enjoyed the hotel, it was spacious and immaculately clean, location was unbeatable and good close to river. Location: the property was right by Koblenz for several years and restaurant. I found there a huge variety of restaurants to eat, like Il Capitano that is only 20 minutes' walk away.

It was fairly clean, and the people where welcoming. Greatly enjoyed our stay, will come back.

Twin room is new-fashioned, has a fine bathroom. Thanks a lot, I definitely want to stay in that area again, liked this place.

Nothing, all was good.

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel, located close to the Mosel river. The rooms were comfortable and modern, with clean bathrooms. The friendly staff provided excellent service and had a great knowledge of the area. The breakfast had plenty of choices and was served in a spacious dining area. We also enjoyed relaxing in the colorful garden. it was a lovely place to stay and explore the surroundings.

Limited availability of public transit downtown.

Family-run, beautifully refurbished hotel with friendly, efficient staff. Simple, spacious, spotless rooms with excellent showers. Perfect amenities. Delicious supper and ample, fresh breakfast served in a beautiful garden. Extensive bike and walking paths for outdoor enthusiasts.

The value for money at this hotel was excellent, with spacious and lovely rooms. The location was great with easy access to the river and convenient bus service. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home.

More variety in the breakfast items would have been nice.

Another highlight was the very good breakfast with a spacious breakfast room. The rooms were clean and tidy, and I appreciated the parking right outside the hotel. I had a pleasant stay.

Although there was no AC during a heatwave, the little non-rotating fan provided in the bedroom helped a bit. Additionally, the fact that smoking was permitted in the garden area led to a bit of smoke coming into the room.

Had a great Easter weekend! Loved the beautiful outdoor garden area for our meals and the extensive bike and walking path nearby. The service was fantastic with very friendly personnel. Breakfast had a good variety and was enjoyable. The owners made us feel welcome and right at home.

The hotel is a bit out of the way from the city center. Although public transport is available right outside the hotel, it was a bit inconvenient for us.

The location of the hotel is perfect for those who love being close to nature, as it is conveniently situated near the tranquil Mosel river. Guests can easily access the river and enjoy leisurely strolls along its banks. The hotel itself offers comfortable rooms with lovely views of the surrounding area, providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. the breakfast served in the dining area is a delightful way to start the day, with a wide selection of delicious options to choose from.

Despite its many merits, it's a shame that the sauna and restaurant were closed during our visit.
